Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Perkadoo ("we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our website, dashboard, and embedded widget (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
- Account Data – name, email address, and password hash when you sign up.
- Usage Data – anonymized analytics about how visitors interact with the widget.
- Cookies & Local Storage – a visitor ID token to recognise returning users.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected data to:
- Provide and maintain the Services.
- Analyse engagement and improve product features.
- Communicate with you about updates and support.
- Meet legal and compliance obligations.
3. Data Retention
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy, unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.
4. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, rectify, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@perkadoo.com.
If you run a Perkadoo account, you can delete it yourself from the Account page. This signs you out, deletes your sign-in and every workspace you own alone with its projects and member data, and cancels any paid plan on those workspaces straight away. A single project can be deleted from its Settings page.
5. International Transfers
We host production infrastructure through Cloudflare and PlanetScale PostgreSQL and may transfer information outside your jurisdiction. We rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards for such transfers.
6. Member Data We Process for Site Owners
When a business (a "site owner") adds Perkadoo to its course, community or shop, we process information about that site's members on the site owner's behalf. For this data the site owner is the controller and Perkadoo acts as its processor. We use it only to run streaks, milestones, rewards and reports for that site owner.
- Pseudonymous member IDs – our WordPress plugin sends a keyed hash of the WordPress user ID, never the member's name or email. Other integrations may send a hashed ID chosen by the site owner.
- Member emails or platform IDs from no-code hooks – when a site owner connects an automation tool, it may send a member's email address or platform user ID. We hash it with a key unique to that project and keep only the hash and a masked preview (for example
j•••@e•••) so the site owner can confirm the connection works. - Activity records – the action that counted, when it happened, completion IDs used to prevent double counting, and whether it was a test.
- Widget requests – when a member's browser loads the widget, our servers and CDN receive standard request data such as IP address and browser user agent.
Members who want to access or delete their data should contact the site owner, who can ask us to act on the request. You can also email privacy@perkadoo.com.
